The Comoe National Park
The Comoe National Park is in the department of Bouna in the north-east of Cote d'lvoire. It is the oldest park in the country and the largest in West Africa. It covers 1,150,000 hectares and has 500 km of tracks suitable for motor vehicles. It is home to an incredibly wide variety of animals, including elephants, buffalo, kob antelopes, lions, hippos and numerous species of birds. Charming hotels have been built in the local villages and access to the park is made easier by the airstrip nearby.
