Banco National Park
Right in the heart of Abidjan is the Banco National Park which covers an area of 3000 hectares and is a fine example of primary forest with rare species of tree (such as mahogany and avodire). The fauna consists mainly of birds and monkeys. Paths have been laid out for walkers. Because it is so close to the city, accommodation can be easily arranged in a number of hotels of different types.
